About the Cell

The Disadvantaged Groups Cell of Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya has been established to safeguard the interests of students from socially and economically marginalized communities, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and minority groups. The Cell ensures fair access to academic and co-curricular resources and provides support for grievances and redressal.

Objectives of the Cell:

• To ensure equal opportunities in academic, administrative, and support services.
• To provide guidance and counseling related to scholarships, career paths, and government schemes.
• To create awareness of constitutional rights and social justice.
• To address grievances related to discrimination or denial of facilities.
• To organize workshops, awareness drives, and welfare programs.

Support Services

• Assistance in applying for SC/ST/OBC scholarships and fee reimbursement.
• Dedicated grievance redressal mechanism.
• Special counseling and mentoring sessions.
• Reservation and relaxation in admission and examination processes as per norms.
